It’s a great spot if you’re after some calm and beautiful surroundings without giving up good places to eat or stroll along quiet streets. The local vibe blends a chill beachside lifestyle with enough connectivity to stay productive, which worked well while I was working remotely.

I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an active yet serene place to settle down or send down roots.

While Kathu has lots of lively options, if you're the kind of person who thrives exclusively on downtown conveniences, some days you might miss a buzzier shopping scene straight outside your door. The selection for shopping might not suit everyone’s expectations, especially if you're trigger-happy on retail therapy.
