Positives
Chai Wan is such a lovely neighborhood with a great variety of restaurants that cater well to a range of tastes, from local delights to more international options. The nearby green spaces make for lovely walks, and it’s generally very peaceful, which is hard to find in a city. The community feels quite safe, so evening stargazing from my balcony was a favorite pastime.
Negatives
While Chai Wan has many great aspects, I noticed it's lacking in shopping centers which occasionally made errands a bit inconvenient. The air quality could be better, and navigating some of the poor road conditions with public transport isn’t always the easiest. Plus, you might find a limited number of dining options close by, especially when craving something specific.
