There’s something truly peaceful about living near the coast in Hua Hin, especially at Baan San Pluem. The surroundings are refreshingly quiet with beautiful natural spots to explore nearby, which is perfect when you need a break from work or just want to unwind. I always felt safe walking around, even after dark, which made daily life easier and less stressful.

Negatives

The one downside was definitely that options for restaurants and cafes close by were quite limited, so you usually need to drive a bit to find a good place to eat or hang out. Also, it’s not the easiest area to get around on foot, so not having a vehicle can be a bit inconvenient at times.

For anyone just wanting to retreat from the brisk pace of bigger cities, it's worth checking out here.

Negatives

While the range of dining options isn't incredibly vast, favorite local spots definitely make up for it. There are periods where it feels like options to try something new are a bit limited. Also, a lack of dedicated community centers might make forming closer relationships and connections with fellow expats a tad more challenging.
