Positives

Nong Hoi has a really peaceful vibe with plenty of green spaces that make it perfect if you appreciate calm surroundings. Getting around on foot is easy enough for short trips, and the internet’s dependable, which made working on the road easier for me. It felt like a great spot to unwind while still being reasonably close to Chiang Mai city centre when I felt like some urban buzz.

Negatives

There aren’t many eating places within immediate reach, so you usually need to travel out if you’re after more varied food. Also, public transport options are quite limited, which can be a bit frustrating if you don’t drive. That, coupled with fewer shops nearby, made some everyday errands a little inconvenient.

The riverside location here really offers a peaceful lifestyle, perfect for morning walks and unwinding after work. With several green spaces close by, it’s easy to enjoy the outdoors without venturing far. That's hard to come by, especially in a city. Plus, the community here feels really secure—a huge plus when you're living alone in a new area.

Negatives

Despite its soothing ambiance, the overall aesthetics of the complex and surrounding areas could use a little TLC. It's disappointing to see such charm dulled by certain sightlines and neglected surroundings.
