Positives
It’s a pretty convenient spot for getting around Bangkok with plenty of public transport nearby. The roads are decent too, which makes driving or riding quite manageable. It’s definitely quieter than many parts of the city, so if you prefer peace without being too far off the beaten track, this could suit you well.
Negatives
The area doesn’t have much when it comes to dining or shops, so you’ll probably need to go out a little for meals or entertainment. There aren’t any parks or real green spots close by, which was a bit of a downside for me when I wanted to just get outside and relax. Also, it’s not the best place if you’re into walking since the sidewalks aren’t great.

Positives
It’s quite convenient living in Lat Krabang, especially with access to public transport options. There’s a solid array of restaurants and eateries nearby, plus some nice parks to unwind in after work.
Negatives
The area can be a bit noisy at times, and I find the air quality isn't the best. While there are some good event areas, I sometimes wish there were more community settings to gather or socialize.

How can I make profit from buying a condo in Bangkok?

Hello Ye... This ultra-luxury property in Bangkok offers strong investment potential through both capital appreciation and rental income. Historically, prime Bangkok real estate has appreciated by approximately 3–6% per year, supported by ongoing infrastructure development and limited supply in premium segments. Rental yields for high-end properties typically range from 4–6% gross annually, depending on location and unit size. With the right positioning, this property could generate a combined annual return of up to 8–10% before costs, making it an attractive option for long-term investors seeking both income and value growth.

Are there pros/cons of buying a condo on Thong Lo vs Ekkamai? Or are they similar?

Thong Lor and Ekkamai are very close to each other. Just a street over, however Ekkamai typically is better value yet still just 5-10 min away.

While close to each other, Thonglor is more developed and has numerous shops, bars and restaurants. It is a more "desirable" neighbourhood and in demand. It will attract higher prices for both rent and sale. Ekkamai is a developing area, and will eventually catch up to Thonglor. So, if you like trendy areas, Tonglor will be your more expensive option, if you prefer to stretch your budget a little further, Ekkamai is a good option with a strong potential to increase in value.
